Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities
Work with cross functional teams to resolve supplier quality issues in a timely and systematic fashion.
Identify supplier related problems and opportunities. Perform problem solving, root-cause investigation and liaise with Supplier Development Engineer to improve supplier performance.
Timely communication of issues that affect supplier quality and delivery capability to the relevant stakeholders across the organization.
Support supplier audit activities and assess process capability as required.
Ensure thorough knowledge of company Quality system to work within established policies and procedures, compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements and other business systems.
Develop Engineering skills in order to lead problem solving activities for the technologies being used in company products.
Provide technical leadership, support and guidance to Supplier Quality Engineers
Continually develop industry knowledge to assist in development and sharing of best practice.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Science with at least 5 years experience especially in engineering processes and tools in manufacturing environments.
Must have good experience in mechanical components such as plastic moulding and rubber.
Prefer to have training & experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kepner-Tregoe and APQP tools & methodologies and experience in operating within highly regulated industry – preferably medical device industry.
Supplier manufacturing process knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes
Problem solving methods and tools as well as quality process knowledge, including statistics.
Strong communication skills, business acumen and advanced negotiation skills
Software used: Objective document management system, Microsoft Office.
Able to travel for up to 25%.
