Lead Repair Engineer ( Asia )

Responsibilities
Identifying, developing, industrializing, and globalizing new welding, brazing, and other joining technology for the company in Asia.
Project management of joining projects supporting technology and productivity initiatives.
Coordinate with Center teams to drive standardized welding, brazing and heat treatment process improvements to enable contractual services productivity.
Creation of Special Process Documents for repair processes.
Substantiation of service centers repair process qualifications/certifications
Develop new repair process technology to assist component team in implementing repair strategy.
Perform repair process technology jugular experiments.
Create repair materials/process technology validation plan in conjunction with component engineers.
Define industrialized process audit/quality requirements and perform audits of global service centers for adherence to best practices/process requirements.
Support joining related readiness to serve for global service centers
Lead productivity projects
Executes the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Documents technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provides timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical with at least 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience
Familiarity with superalloy welding and brazing.
Familiarity with steel welding and brazing.
Familiarity with Huffman Laser Cladding
Additional experience in repair of industrial gas turbine components
Six Sigma, Black Belt certification, or Equivalent Quality certification
Familiarity with manufacturing processes
Manufacturing, repair, or project management background
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
Develops a strong team and breeds positive moral
Understands business objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet the objectives
Communicates the business vision effectively in an open and consistent manner
