Category Manager – Textiles

Responsibilities
Develop category management strategies and ensure that category management strategies maintain a technology, quality and cost leadership position
Working closely with the new product introduction team to support product development requirements, identify category opportunities and facilitate continuous improvement outcomes.
Collaborates with the supplier quality engineering teams to ensure suppliers continue to meet the required quality and delivery standards.
Communicate and drive alignment of category management strategies with stakeholders.
Ensure supply chain continuity and procurement of direct materials are adequately supported
Identify opportunities for long term relationships within the commodity supply base
Implement and manage contractual arrangements.
Facilitate and lead negotiations with strategic suppliers
Requirements
Bachelor degree with at least 5 years experience in category management or strategic procurement within medical device or injection molding industries.
Experience in assessing and sourcing new textile material technologies.
Developed a wide network of fabric suppliers and textiles research agency in the South East Asia region
Familiar with manufacturing processes of fiber, yarn, fabric, foam, and secondary processes such as dyeing, printing, die-cut, ultrasonics welding and sewing
Experience in dealing with elastic and breathable textiles and products with high intimacy such as inner wear, sport wear, shoes and medical purpose garments.
