Responsible for running the shopping mall by overseeing and undertaking full scale management of the overall function and P&L of the operations, leasing and marketing departments, ensuring that targets are met.
Management of the finance portfolio of the mall. Ensure profit and loss meets budgetary expectations.
Undertake both macroeconomic and microeconomic analysis of the mall and the retail industry so as to formulate reconfiguration plans, strategies and proposals to enhance the positioning, branding, financial standing and asset valuation of the mall.
Manage and ensure leasing department delivers the best possible trade and tenant mix in line with the mall’s positioning and branding. To ensure rent roll is protected by maintaining strong occupancy rates and budgetary rents are met.
Manage and ensure marketing communications department delivers the ideal events and promotions to exert positive commercial effects on shopper traffic and gross turnover which in turn translate to good trading performances by the tenants.
Manage and ensure operations department provides the essential logistical, operational and technological support in ensuring the entire building and equipment are at optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
Tenant relations and grievance management.
Double up as a project manager and spearhead asset enhancement initiatives and construction works.
Human resource functions including people management, coaching, mentoring, motivating of staff to ensure that they perform to the best of their ability.
Undertake special projects as assigned by Senior Management.
Prepare annual budgets, underwriting expenses and revenue as well as cash flow projections for asset managers.
